Meet Our Certified Therapists

Nanette D. Cure, affectionately known as “Jr.”

Moving to Arizona as a teenager from Orland Park, Illinois was a very big change in the early eighties. Style, dress, attitude, different landscape and the beautiful weather were delightful. The Mid-Westerners seem to spend more time, as an equestrian, working with the elements and the change of weather. In Arizona, Nanette found she had more time to ride and the season for riding was longer. She became an accomplished amateur western rider with many renowned trainers during high school. After many regional and national championships with her horses, Nanette wanted to further her horse knowledge. After High School, Nanette went on to College to further her equine education. Majoring in Equine Science and Equine Business Management she received great accomplishments and all of her certifications from Colorado State University.

After graduation, majoring in business administration, Nanette joined her family business and became a Licensed Insurance Agent. She worked for five years in Carefree Arizona as Office Manager and Licensed Insurance Agent. With a very successful and rewarding five years, Nanette received many awards and bonuses for her accountability, profitability, sales and dedicated of service to her customers.

There still was something missing. The missing link was interaction with the horses on a regular daily bases. After some consideration she returned to the equestrian industry in the year 1998. She was Assistant to trainer Leo Hansen and her job duties expanded to Ranch Manager after a few months. Even though she did not stay in the horse-training field she will never forget her years assisting some of the trainers listed below: Susan Shea, Leo Hansen, Dave Jolin, Jim Stachowski, Tommy Garland, Brett Stone, De De Bish to name a few, those years will never be forgotten.

Wanting to be more than a Ranch Manager. In the spring of 2001 Nanette became reproduction apprenticed with Dr. Mario Zerlotti DVM of Double Diamond Ranch in Boerne, Texas. There she did receive her thirst for knowledge in reproduction from one of the best reproduction specialist in the country. After her two- year apprenticeship Nanette returned to college at Colorado State University for equine reproduction, artificial insemination, handling and shipping cooled equine spermatozoa and equine nutrition.

With her certifications in several classes from reproduction to equine physical therapy, she returned to Boerne Texas to assist Dr. Mario Zerlotti. Dr. Mario’s new venture the “Create a Foal” program. With this involvement of the development and hands on working status she found this new venture very fascinating. Being spokesman, for Dr Mario at many seminars and events on the art of the embryo transfer helped make his new program a great success. As Operations Manager for Paradise Equine Genetics, Nanette was committed to all of the daily care for the mares and foals with uncompromising nutrition and meticulous planning for their future equine reproduction. International procedures in the breeding industry were a whole new challenge that she welcomed naturally.

She has presently returned to Scottsdale Arizona and will be participating as an Amateur Owner at Halter with her Mare “Armanis Glory” at Scottsdale 2009. Also riding her Gelding “Legacy Of Time” in Amateur Western Pleasure.

Her professionalism and business talents have given her the complete control of the family business. Equine Ventures, LLC. This brokerage is now under the sole direction. Nanette Jr. specializing in Equine Mortality, Farm and Ranch Liability, as well as all personal lines have become her main own personal business. She is now the third generation family Insurance Broker. Some how we can just imagine what her next level of development will take her.
